Learn With Us
Coming up to nearly 2 decades in the trade and having spent the last 10 years teaching interns and apprentices I am able to adapt my teaching processes to suit each individual, according to their needs and capabilities.
Having taught an advanced evening course of 8 students of varying levels of skill, I was able to keep the whole class on track.
Having also taken 4 individuals through full trouser making apprenticeships. All of whom are now successfully working as trouser makers.
My love of teaching is clear to see.
Despite my ‘full apprenticeship’ training being on hold for now – my passion for teaching is still very prominent. I feel such satisfaction to watch someone become immersed in ‘my world’ as I teach, and for this reason I have curated a selection of learning opportunities especially for you.
Here’s the deal...
Reinforce your current knowledge and practice.
Learn new methods that could help simplify processes that may currently seem long winded and complex.
Leave with a pair of trousers you can use as a learning tool, or… Add on one of the hand finishing packages and leave with a fully wearable pair of trousers made with all my tips, tricks and trade secrets!
Take home a sample of every pocket you need to know for bespoke tailoring from the small group pocket making days.
These classes are designed specifically for individuals who have a desire to become tailors and want to go that extra mile to soak up all the knowledge they can.
These classes are not for beginners. It is essential you already have a background education in tailoring as the classes are packed with knowledge and move at a professional pace.

“Taking trouser-making lessons with Holly were an an absolute delight and I’d highly recommend to anyone interested in understanding the world of bespoke! Holly’s expertise and passion for tailoring shine through in every session, making the process enjoyable and approachable even though I was a beginner. She breaks down complex techniques into easy-to-follow steps, covering everything from inlays, linings, pockets and zips. Hollys hands-on guidance and friendly approach make each class both fun and incredibly rewarding, and have left me with the skills that I needed to progress in this area.”

Master Class
In this 6-week program, you will be guided you through the construction process of a fully bespoke Savile Row pair of trousers. Please note this does not include Hand finishing.
Hand finishing & Take Home packages available to purchase separately in person with Holly once enrolled in the class.
Step by Step - Together
Beginning with a cutting demonstration, I talk you through how to cut all the components you need to construct your trousers. Throughout the demonstration you’re given time to take notes.
Our first sessions comprise of you observing and repeating all of the preparation tasks such as thread marking, making side adjusters and waistbands.
We then begin constructing your trousers. With me guiding you throughout the construction. Making pockets, attaching the fly and waistbands.
As well as a hip pocket demonstration. (Due to its complex nature this is demo only)
As we stitch and steam our way through the process - we end our sessions with the observing and repeating method, while we work on all the trousers internal components, readying your trousers for completion.
You are given the time to work through each section, with myself allowing you the space to do so comfortably meaning you can take notes and photos.

“Learning under Holly’s guidance, with flexibility, understanding of personality nuance and tailoring capabilities, was phenomenal. A genuinely brilliant trouser-maker: I was legitimately sad the course had to end. Learning with absolutely every session, and having a teacher be excited about your progress is priceless. Especially if you are excited too.
The one-to-one was beneficial for me, being neurodivergent: I was able to properly focus. The patience, brightness in the studio, the skillset, the free coffee! It felt truly seamless (no pun intended). Holly is brilliant, inspiring, patient, fully of personality, and very talented.
No one better to learn from. I even offered to be her newest intern before the course had finished!”

Hand Finishing Packages
We appreciate that for some, hand finishing can be challenging, overly tedious or just not necessary. Some of you may be keeping the trousers as a learning tool, rather than to go strutting around town in. This is why we do not include hand finishing as ‘standard’ in the Trouser Making Masterclass.
You will be given the opportunity to purchase 1 of our 2 packages in person with Holly once enrolled in the class.
We offer two Hand Finishing Packages.
1) We can finish them for you … Yay!
Maybe your hand sewing is not as strong as you would like, but you would like your trousers finished to a professional standard – giving you something keep and to refer back to. Let us professionally finish your trousers for you. Includes finished and final press.
Price - £110
2) You can finish them yourself… also Yay!
You can book a 5 hour Hand Finishing Class where we will assist you to complete as much as possible on your trousers.
Starting with hems, and moving through the trousers at your own speed, learning all the stitches you need from one of the team. We’ll work on decorative bar tacks and prick stitching pocket mouths and fly, building up the more complex placement of the hook and bar fastening.
We cannot guarantee you’ll finish your trousers fully in this time as that depends on your skill set and speed. We will work to an efficient methodology during the 5 hours. Allowing you the opportunity to observe demonstrations and make notes if necessary to get the most out of your time.
Includes a demonstration of your pair being fully pressed off by ourselves.
Experience tells us that any more 5 hours of hand sewing can become tedious even for the best of us!
Price - £280

“Holly was able to teach and explain each step of the process with simplicity and patience, a testament to her teaching skills, and own mastery of the trouser making process. I was never made to feel inadequate or less able, as the environment was always warm and fun. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to learn in an environment filled with so much experience, information, and willingness to share knowledge with others who are trying to build their careers as well. ”
